I feel much better about the typos in the student-created publications after seeing the program for our academic awards assembly (created by adults, with some clear errors).
Petty? Perhaps. But I haven't said a thing about it to anyone at school, and it didn't bother me (beyond wistfully wondering why people raise a stink about such things). So I think that should count for something.

I always wonder how many of the teachers who complain about the student publications would like to take their student's work, photocopy it, bind it into a book and hand it out for everyone to see. Because that is about what we do as publications teachers.
My guess? About ZERO. ;D
