Wuhu! The newest edition of the Carnival of Education is already up over at Right Wing Nation! :D
I made the cut - yay! you really love me! - and I really would like some feedback on that post. I want to try to avoid becoming a teacher who, rather than teaching for thirty years, "taught the same year, thirty times." (Who did I get that from? I don't MEAN to steal, I'm just working from memory here, and it's never been that great!)
OTOH, I don't really see that it's easier to keep teaching the same thing. I mean, if you find problems, wouldn't it be easier to address them so the next time you get to that point you don't HAVE them?
Anyway. :)
We are OFF today - first day back and school got cancelled "due to inclement weather." Apparently we're on a flood watch, though it's stopped raining. Sunrise is pretty! :D It was interesting to be awakened in the middle of the night to the sound of hail, though.
So I've got a BIT of a reprieve, though I still need to go in and work on the DARN BOOK. Gah.
Now to find my keys...

I'm not quite sure why you all got the day off for "inclement weather," while we got buckets & buckets of rain, & school opened on time. Congrats on the Carnival!
